Resumption Date for 2014/2015 Full-Time Students – Yabatech

Yaba College of Technology, YABATECH resumption date for full-time fresh and stale students for the 2014/2015 academic session has been announced. This is to inform all the fresh(I.e. ND 1 and HND 1)and returning(I.e. ND 2 and HND 2) full-timestudents of the Yaba College of Technology (YABATECH) that the authorities of the institution have announced the date for the commencement of the 2014/2015 academic session. YABTECH New Students for the Full time 2014/2015 Academic session are to resume on Monday, 11th May, 2015 while Returning students are to resume on the 27th July and 25th May, 2015 respectively. Both Fresh and Returning Students are to start their registration immediately. For further details, Students are advised to visit their respective departments.

A student of University of Ibadan Protest Death Of Student Who Died After Health Centre Rejected Him.....#Read

The students of the University of Ibadan this morning moved out in their hundreds ignoring lectures to protest the death of a student, Mayowa Alaran, a 200L student of Human Kinetics who suddenly slumped due to an asthma attack while watching a football match at his hostel hall yesterday night. Mayowa was rushed to one of the school clinics by his friends, but the nurses told them they will not attend to him except they present his clinic card. Mayowa later died some minutes after when he got no medical treatment.

The aggrieved students who protested his death,  blocked the Mokola-Oojo road, which made a lot of motorists turn back. Some of them were heard saying the school’s health officials killed the boy.
